The Galerie des machines (officially Palais des machines) was a pavilion built for the Exposition Universelle (1889) in Paris. Located in the Grenelle district, the huge pavilion was made of iron, steel and glass.
A similarly-named structure was erected for the 1878 exposition, but the 1889 version was by far the largest vaulted building to have yet been built. It was reused for the 1900 exposition, and later used as a velodrome, agricultural exhibition hall and for other purposes and was demolished in 1910 to open up the view along the Champ de Mars. * L' INSTINCT de CIEL by BRUNE MERLIN ( RL paintings ) and OLYMPE RHODE ( digital creations )
Time travel, journey to heartof our life and its colors.
We will focus in the fall nascent: The sun is on the horizon and the sky at sunset sometimes reflections of old gold.
The earth is hot and wins the vital need to draw, paint, create before forget ...
And slowly, the wind will carry us ... and life will move, from one corner of the horizon to the other.
* TIME OUT: Sculpture made by LOULY LOON accompany our pictures as evidence and participate in the highlight of this exhibition
with poetry and delight in a SteamPunk style popular at the Galerie des Machines.
* KATI HORNA (1912-2000)Humanist photographer "d' Avant Garde" .
As Kapa or Kertész, her Hungarian compatriots, Kati fled conflicts of Hungary 30s.
She says in 1993: "I fled Hungary, I fled Berlin, I fled Paris, I left everything in Barcelona ... when Barcelona fell, I did not able to get my stuff back, I again lost everything. I arrived in a fifth country, Mexico, with my Rolleiflex in shoulder, I could not take anything else. "
It is in Spain during the Civil War she sharpens her eyes and began to cultivate the strange mix of photojournalism and surrealism that mark her work thereafter.
In Mexico, her adopted country, she worked alongside great figures of surrealism, the Panic movement and artistic avant-garde Mexican. She then worked as a reporter and graphic teaches photography at the Ibero-American University in Mexico City.
** BRUNO SCHMELTZ ( french painter ) et TAIKOGO AKINA ( 3 D creator )
Bruno Schmeltz always painted in a hyper-realistic style, but the surreal content. His dreamlike landscapes are obviously linked to the beauty of the Pyrénées (France), the last land of shepherds and silence.
The works of Bruno Schmeltz carry in unlikely dreamscapes where giant alongside naked melancholy women, where the shipyard was
invited in traditional Pyrenean landscapes or where ruined cities are the theater of life.
These thematics reflect the impregnation of his personal history and his relation to men and to himself, to time, nature and urbanism and to his region.
Everything is duality in the artist that displays an artistic singularity that challenges. The symbols dotting his paintings such riddles while mingling in a figurative kind.
SCHMELTZ Dali painted face of Pyrenean marble quarries ..
And it is natural that TAIKOGO, passionate and facetious creators, joined this artist: his creations in 3D, reproductions of works by Dali come with the works of Bruno, giving them a new dimension.
TAIKOGO notably carved "the rhinoceros", painted by Dali.
Back in history : Rhino that had been carved from animal allegories 6 continents during the World Expo 1889 in Paris, who lives the inauguration of the Eiffel Tower and the Galerie des Machines !!!!

* RANADEEP - Remixing Properties: breaking relevance ! -
Hello and welcome to my new exhibition at Galerie des Machines!
I have been making fractals (raw, post-processed, made in various styles, in various softwares, all of it) and showing them in SL for a while...but I came to realize that there are certain properties and features in SL that can enhance the visuals and effects of the simple works that I create....as I am a fractal artist, these properties or features are not really relevant to my works....but then if I look beyond the relevance factor and actually integrate them with what I do....the same I did before becomes new....it gives another level and dimension to the same works and brings out a new perspective.
I present the result of my experiments, in this exhibition - Remixing Properties: Breaking Relevance!

Thinking on the impact of man on the nature, the biosphere, the planet, past and present.
Civilization is the flower of evolution. Since the beginning of civilization, humans have altered the natural processes of the environment tapping into the organic reserves of the planet's ecosystems. (already lighting a fire) His action was useful, since natural elements become resources since man not only exists, but is now able to use.

Voyage dans le temps, cheminement au coeur de notre vie et de ses couleurs.
On s'attardera à l'automne naissant: Le soleil baisse à l'horizon et le ciel au soleil couchant a parfois des reflets de vieil or.
La terre est chaude et s'impose la nécessité vitale de tracer, de peindre, de créer avant que d'oublier...
Et lentement, le vent nous portera... et la vie se déplacera, d'un coin de l'horizon à l'autre.
* TIME OUT: Les sculptures de Louly Loon accompagnent nos tableaux comme une évidence et participent à la mise en relief de cette expo
avec poésie et ravissement, dans un style SteamPunk très prisé à la galerie des Machines.
* KATI HORNA (1912-2000) Photographe Humaniste d'Avant Garde.
Comme Kapa ou Kertész, ses compatriotes hongrois, Kati a fui les conflits de la Hongrie, des années 30.
Elle raconte en 1993 : "j'ai fui la Hongrie, j'ai fui Berlin, j'ai fui Paris, j'ai tout laissé à Barcelone... quand Barcelone est tombée, je n'ai pas pu revenir chercher mes affaires, j'ai de nouveau tout perdu. Je suis arrivée dans un cinquième pays, au Mexique, avec mon Rolleiflex en bandoulière, je n'ai rien pu emporter d'autre".
C'est en Espagne durant la guerre civile qu'elle affirme son regard et commence à cultiver le mélange étrange de photoreportage et de surréalisme qui marquera son œuvre par la suite.
Au Mexique, son pays d'adoption, elle côtoie de grandes figures du surréalisme, du mouvement Panique et de l'avant-garde artistique mexicaine. Elle travaille alors comme reporter graphique puis enseigne la photographie à l'Université ibéro-américaine de Mexico.
** BRUNO SCHMELTZ ( peintre français ) et TAIKOGO AKINA ( Créateur 3 D )
Bruno Schmeltz peint toujours dans un style hyper-réaliste, mais au contenu surréaliste. Ses paysages oniriques sont évidemment liés a
la beauté des Hautes-Pyrénées, terre des derniers bergers et du silence.
Les oeuvres de Bruno Schmeltz transportent dans des paysages oniriques improbables où les géants côtoient des femmes nues mélancoliques, où le chantier s’invite dans des paysages pyrénéens traditionnels, où des villes éventrées sont le théâtre de la vie quotidienne... Ces thémathiques reflètent l’imprégnation de son histoire personnelle et son rapport aux hommes et à lui même, au temps, à la nature et à l’urbanisme, à sa région. Tout est dualité chez l’artiste qui affiche une véritable singularité artistique qui interpelle. Les symboles parsèment ses toiles tels des rébus tout en se mêlant à une nature figurée.
SCHMELTZ peint Dali face aux carrières de marbre pyrénéennes....
Et c'est tout naturellement que TAIKOGO, créateur passionné et facétieux, s'est joint à cet artiste: ses créations en 3 D, reproductions d'oeuvres de Dali cheminent avec les oeuvres de Bruno, leur apportant une nouvelle dimension.
TAIKOGO a notamment sculpté le rhinocéros, oeuvre de Dali.
Rhinocéros qui avait été sculpté, parmi 6 allégories animalières des continents, lors de l'Expo Universelle de 1889 à Paris, qui vit
l'inauguration de la tour Eiffel et de la galerie des Machines !!!!

* RANADEEP - Remixing Properties: breaking relevance ! -
Ranadeep, artiste indien très connu et reconnu dans la sphère artistique, nous explique :
je fais des fractales (brut, post-traitées, fabriquées dans différents types, dans différents logiciels, ....) et les expose sur SL un certain temps ... mais je me suis rendu compte qu'il ya certaines propriétés et caractéristiques propres à SL qui peuvent améliorer les visuels et les effets des œuvres que je crée .... comme je suis un artiste de fractales, ces
propriétés ou fonctionnalités ne sont pas vraiment pertinentes pour mes œuvres .... mais si je regarde au-delà du facteur de pertinence ... effectivement en les intégrant dans ce que je fais .... alors ce que je faisais avant devient nouveau ... . et donne une autre dimension à mes travaux en leur apportant une nouvelle perspective.
Je vous présente le résultat de mes expériences, dans cette exposition - Remixing Properties: breaking relevance !

Carte blanche à Osfé ! Qui nous a installé la nature entière dans la galerie, en plein Paris !
Une expo pour nous interpeller...
Réflexion sur l'impact de l'homme sur la nature, sur la biosphère, sur la planète, autrefois et aujourd'hui.
La civilisation est la fleur de l'évolution. Depuis les débuts de la civilisation, l'homme a modifié les processus naturels de son milieu en puisant dans les réserves organiques des écosystèmes de la planète. (déjà en allumant un feu de bois) Son action a été utile, puisque les
richesses naturelles ne sont devenues des ressources que depuis que l'homme non seulement existe, mais est devenu capable de les utiliser.
Mais l'impact de l'homme n'est-il pas en train de devenir préjudiciable à son propre bien-être, voire à sa survie ?

Une expo très haute en couleurs et très "habitée".
Mais laissons parler Tutsy, réalisateur inspiré et talentueux de films RL et SL absolument sublimes et abondamment récompensés.
Tutsy vit en Inde depuis de nombreuses années.
"VANAKAM ! Olympe m’a proposé un jour de faire une exposition sur l’Inde. J’ai finalement opté pour une installation qui, plus qu’une exposition traditionnelle, peut faire ressentir l’Inde et ses paradoxes. Evolution d’un grand pays, transmission d’une culture ancestrale, l’Inde est un curieux mélange, unique au monde, où tous les contraires se côtoient. Vous n’échapperez pas bien sur aussi à la présence de ce Kitch Indien inimitable à travers enseignes peintes à la main et tableaux de Ravi Varma. "
